Maple

acer japonicum green cascadeA cascading or weeping form of japonicum. The leaves are quite large and in spring are a brilliant bright green. The overall shape of ‘Green Cascade’ is quite different than other forms in that it is far more sprawling when young. It does become much more dense with age. Like other japonicums it is in autumn that ‘Green Cascade’ really shines with brilliant displays of red, yellow and orange foliage.

Origin: Japan

acer japonicum vitifolium © 2013(Vine-leafed Maple) A fantastic garden selection with brilliant red-orange autumn colour. Purple-red flowers are borne in clusters before new foliage emerges in spring. Leaves are large, lobed and have serrated margins. Suitable for all landscape situations when planted in a protected area.

Origin: Japan

acer palmatum aratamaThis delightful dwarf shrub is sought after for its bright red foliage. The older leaves carry darker tones, while the new foliage is bright red. The name 'Aratama' means "uncut gem". This variety is well suited to a sunny position. An incredibly beautiful plant.

Origin: Japan

acer palmatum coonara pygmyThis dwarf green maple is well suited to bonsai applications due to its soft green new growth and dense growth habit. Autumn colours are orange and red. Reaches a height of 2 meters and a spread of 1 meter. Originated as a witches broom mutation.

Origin: Australia

maple acer palmatum hanama nishikiConsidered one of the true gems of the dwarf Japanese maple group. It has amongst the smallest of leaves.
