A strongly weeping cultivar with drooping branches and branchlets,more weeping than 'Glauca Pendula'. Foliage rich blue.In ten years 2x0.5m.Originated in 1982 as a mutation on a specimen of 'Glauca Pendula' by stanley and Sons Nursery,OR,USA.

An excellent, small to medium-sized tree of densely conicasl habit, with vividly glaucous-blue leaves.A strongly upright conical tree with horizontal branches and very densely crowded distincly blue-white foliage.In ten years 2x1.2m.Originated before 1958 in Hoops Nursery,WA,USA.

A form of strongly upright habit making an excellent accent plant.A narrowly fastigiate tree with steele-blue foliage.In ten years 3x0.75m.Found c.1965 as a seedling in Iseli Nursery,OR,USA.

The most popular form of blue spruce. A small to medium-sized, conical tree with intense silver-blue leaves.A regular conical plant with silver-blue needles.In ten years 3x1.5m.This well-known,reliable "Koster's blue spruce".Originated in 1885 by A.Koster,Netherlands.

A small to medium-sized tree tree of dense, conical habit with intensely glaucous-blue leaves. One of the most satisfactory of the group.

A fast-growing, large to very large broadly conical tree primarily of economic importance though impressive as a single specimen feature in an arboretum or estate. Leaves about 2cm long, rigid, and sharply pointed, green above, marked with 2 glaucous bands beneath, spreading all round the branchlets, or sometimes loosley parted below. Cones to 10cm long, yellowish brown when young. A remarkable, prickly leaved spruce, thriving particularly well in damp sites.

A broadly pyramidal,dense dwarf with silvery blue-green foliage.Found in the same batch of seedlings as 'Papoose', to which it is similar.In ten years 1.2x1m.Found on Vancouver Island and given to Parks Department,Victoria,Canada before 1979.

picea smithiana (Himalayan Spruce) A graceful large tree with weeping branches. Long dark green needles.West himalayan spruce. A large and extremely beautiful tree with branches upcurved at the tips and long, pendent branchlets. Leaves to 4cm long, dark green, needle-like and flexible, spreading all round the branchlets. Cones to 17cm long, green when young, becoming purplish.

pilgerodendron uviferum © 2013 A rare, small, slow-growing tree of stiff, upright habit when young. Small, green, scale-like leaves are borne in 4 ranks, giving the shoots a quadrangular appearance. Cones ovoid, 8-13mm long, with 4, woody, brown scales. This remarkable tree, a native of chile, has proved hardy in the British Isles. In the wild it occurs further south than any other conifer.
