A fantastic variety that always generates attention, Magnolia 'Apollo' is in a class of its own with its mass of large rich Purple blooms. The inside of the flower is pale, but the outer colour is a lovely deep purple. Forms an upright small tree. Introduced by Yamina Rare Plants.
A floriferous upright tree that forms a rounded canopy when mature (5-7m). the white scented flowers are flushed with tones of pink. An excellent specimen that produces masses of flowers from a young age.

A gorgeous pink flowering form that forms attention-grabbing large cup shaped flowers. Little care is required, however this is an early flowering form so protection from frost may be required.

‘Dolly Horn’ has very large tulip shaped pink flowers, that reach up to 25cm across when fully open. A small tree or large shrub growing to height of approximately 6 metres. Hard to resist!

The first yellow-flowered hybrid magnolia to be widely available, introduced too Aussie gardens by Arnold Teese from Brooklyn Botanical Garden. It is rightly considered by many to be still one of the best. Elegant buds open to reveal beautiful soft pastel yellow flowers that fade to dark cream. They are slightly fragrant which is often described like musk. A relatively fast growing tree to 5-8 metres in favourable conditions. Keep magnolias well watered, wind sheltered and add lots of dolomite lime.
