Description
Ceratonia Siliqua, also known as the Carob, St Johns Bread or locust bean. As well as the seed pods providing an alternative to chocolate (ground seed pods) Carobs are very beautiful evergreen specimen shade tree. The bronze new growth adds a nice touch to this hardy and very utilitarian tree. Full sun.
Origin: Mediterranean, levant into Iran, Northern Africa, Macaronesia (islands off North-West Africa).
