Description
Ilex kingiana (King's Holly)
Ilex kingiana is a rare evergreen tree native to parts of Southeast Asia, notable for its slender, pointed green leaves and small red berries and yellow flowers. Growing to 5–10 metres in height and 3–5 metres in width, it is well-suited to gardens in subtropical and warm-temperate Australian regions.
It prefers rich, well-drained soils and partial shade to full sun, with adequate moisture.
Tip: This holly is less commonly grown, so consider its ecological impact before planting. Prune to control size and shape.
