Description
Terrific woodland evergreen shrub 1-2 metres tall. Attractive glossy dark green foliage , red Spidery flowers similar to its close relative Florida anise illicium floridanum. Illicium mexicanum flowers continuously from spring to fall followed by red fruits. All parts of illicium are scented , especially the leaves and even its root.
