Description
Magnolia acuminata var. subcordata is a deciduous tree that blooms in spring, producing solitary, erect, cup-shaped flowers that are light greenish-yellow in color. The leaves of this species are dark-green, simple, and alternate, with ovate shape and entire margins. Native to the Southeastern United States, specifically Central North Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama to NW, this magnolia is known for its ability to withstand extremely low temperatures, even as low as -23ยฐC.
