Rhinacanthus beesianus – Chinese Rhinacanthus
A rare and attractive evergreen shrub, Rhinacanthus beesianus is valued for its delicate, soft green foliage and striking tubular flowers. Blooming from late spring to autumn, the pale pink to mauve flowers have a unique, flared shape that attracts bees and other pollinators. This plant thrives in warm, frost-free climates and prefers a sheltered position with dappled shade. Well-suited to subtropical and tropical regions of Australia, it grows best in rich, well-draining soil with regular watering. A great choice for shaded garden beds or understorey plantings, Rhinacanthus beesianus is also suitable for pots in protected locations.
