Description
Peruvian Pepper Tree ( not a true pepper ). Hardy evergreen trees up to 15 metres tall , from the Peruvian Ande. Incredibly hardy , heat cold and dry tolerant , great shade trees often used in hot inland Australian areas providing a sanctuary from our Aussie extremes. The bright pink fruits of Schinus molle are often sold as "pink peppercorns" ( in South America) Schinus moll is unrelated to the true pepper (Piper nigrum).
