Description
Japanese zelkova, Japanese elm or keyaki. A medium sized hardy tee reaching ultimately 20-30 metres, although a much smaller tree for 30 years. A fast tree to 8-10 metres , slowing with age. Multi trunked vase-shape deciduous tree, dividing into many upright , erect spreading stems. With age trees form more broad , round-topped head. Small green Chinese Elm-like leaves adorn the tree , turning bright gold and orange in autumn.
